Twilight Sparkle Wallpaper

So I'm a brony, found that out earlier this week.

Decided to celebrate tonight by making six new wallpapers to slideshow on my desktop. Wanted to base one on each of the six ponies in the herd.

This is the first one for Twilight Sparkle. This one helped me figure out the themes I was going to be working with on them. In that I wanted pony themed wallpapers without the ponies. Made sure to only use colors present on each pony and find a way to work their cutie mark onto the canvas. Keep things simple (mostly) but try to bring out the character if possible (I'm not that clever sadly).

I love the swoosh of colors on Twilight's mane, which inspired this simple ribbon pattern. A faded out cutie mark in the back to keep the focus on the awesome colors she has.
